EV Charging in KSA: Progress and Outlook for Smart Energy Systems

On February 3, 2026, The Electrical Engineering Department, in collaboration with the EE Club at King Fahd University for Petroleum and Minerals (KFUPM), successfully hosted a panel discussion titled “EV Charging in KSA: Progress and Outlook for Smart Energy Systems.”

The session brought together experts from industry and academia to discuss the rapid growth of EV charging in Saudi Arabia and the key steps needed to support smart and reliable energy systems in line with Saudi Vision 2030. The discussion covered key topics including grid integration, infrastructure design, fleet logistics, and energy economics, with valuable insights shared through real-world experience and active audience engagement.
