Advancing Neuromorphic Computing with 2D Material-Based Memristors Dr. Abdulaziz Almutairi

 

On October 30, 2024, Dr. Abdulaziz Almutairi presented a seminar titled Advancing Neuromorphic Computing with 2D Material-Based Memristors. The seminar explored recent advancements in neuromorphic computing, with a focus on cutting-edge developments in 2D material-based memristors. Dr. Almutairi explained the operational mechanisms of filamentary resistive switching memristors and their application within crossbar arrays to support neuromorphic computing. He emphasized how 2D materials and their heterostructures have become a promising platform for enhancing neuromorphic computing capabilities, while also addressing the challenges that currently limit their large-scale integration.
