28th International Conference on Optical Fiber Sensors

The International Conference on Optical Fiber Sensors (OFS), established in 1983, is acknowledged as the world’s leading conference on all aspects of optical fiber sensors and related photonic technologies. OFS provides a forum for reporting and exchanging ideas on the latest advances in research and development on optical fiber sensor technologies. OFS has also contributed to the industrialization and standardization of related devices and systems for practical applications. The 28th OFS conference, OFS-28, was held in Hamamatsu, Shizuoka, Japan from November 20 to 24, 2023.

Contribution

Dr. Khurram Karim Qureshi presented a poster titled "Junction Temperature Measurement in High Power Electronic Applications Using Fiber Bragg Grating-based Sensors" on 20th-24th of November 2023.

The abstract of the presentation

The proposed paper discusses the application of fiber optic-based sensors for IGBT junction temperature measurement. The sensitivity of the sensor is 9.3pm/°C. The measurement error induced due to the mismatch between the IGBT-FBG interface was minimized with the help of a thermal pad.
